Still alive!!!

Was going to sign up to the riddle_gifts but then I realised I wouldn't be able to do it in that timeframe OOPS. Will have to try and find another incentive to write fic!! I was going to take fic prompt 77 would be great to see someone else writing it though as it totally had potential!

OH BOY!

I had completely forgotten about my lj! Ok, not completely, but somehow time and life worked against me having much time. I was talking to someone on im and they said that you to become completely addicted for lj to work. I'm still a learner. I want to become addicted, sure, but I tend to forget about livejournal until I'm completely bored and have exhausted all other opportunities of the internweb. So rather than being my first port of call, it's my last. Perhaps I could try blogging properly or joining some communities for drabbles or something? Let me know if you have any recommendations!

Turns out I'm pretty shit at this blogging thing. I thought it was a great idea to keep an online diary combined with a community that understands my passion for all things Potter. But somehow, I haven't made it onto livejournal all week. I haven't made all those millions of friends I wanted, I haven't met my soul mate. I finally make an effort to get back on track and it turns out the universe and its wife is gone to Las Vegas on the trip of a lifetime. And now that I have an online diary, I realise that my life is so incredibly boring that I have nothing to talk about.

Some expressions are just No. and Needy Hole is one of them. Needy Hole must be capitalised for sheer No-ness.

I'm still new to lj, and am finding it hard to keep up with everything and to choose which communities to read (friendsfriends has become my best friend in these past few days). I ran into something like 10 bad fics in a row last week and simply cracked and responded in disbelief when I stumbled, via the snape_potter community, upon yet another dreadful piece of work. Maybe I should have left a review rather than a shocked comment, but that review would have been more cruel and vicious, because if I am to take the time to review then I'll say what I think. I've only written one HP fic. It's not very good. In fact, it's rather crap, and if svartalfur wants to get revenge by flaming me then by all means go ahead.

I've been away!

But how cool is this? In London no less! I hope to meet loads of Harry Potter fans there :). Also thinking about perhaps presenting a paper, since I do have several things to talk about in regards to the HP books. What does everyone think?



Is anyone else going to this conference? I haven't registered yet, but will do with with my next paycheque and then I need a place to stay!
